Spring

Began this assignment late, so I get to blog right before class to get another day! I guess I could talk about how nervous I am for next semester. Every class I have I know someone in it, but I am taking Anat/Phys next semester and based on what I've heard from everyone who has previously had it I am barely going to make it through. I'm okay with doing all the work that I have to, but from what I hear it's just a lot of information to take in at once. I'm excited for all of my other classes though so hopefully they even out!

AAPHERD

Was just on the AAPHERD website and saw the spring convention dates. According to the site, it's going to be March 13-17. I'm not sure what my school or work schedule will be like but I'm thinking I would really like to try to go. I have a ton of relatives in Boston so it would also be cool to get to hang with them. Hopefully if I start saving money and making plans soon enough this could be a possibility! I think it would be a really cool experience to get to attend.

Autism Awareness

This link is to a youtube video of a girl named Carly who has autism. This is by far one of the most amazing stories I have ever seen. I think it would be very useful to future educators because at some point in our careers we are going to have to deal with some sort of inclusive setting with individuals with disabilities. It may not be to the exent of Carly's but it is definitely a break through to understand things just a little more. I hope some will take the time to view the video because it's truly a heart warming story and helps us to better understand what people with disabilities go through, even if you aren't an Adapted minor.
